Rehearsals

●      Rehearsals are Tuesdays on the 4th floor in the Victory Ballroom unless otherwise announced.

●      Read weekly Athena emails sent on Mondays by Co-Managers Jeannie Park and Pauline Mauro (via athenas.laac@gmail.com).

●      Members are expected to practice their parts in between rehearsals.

●      Members are expected to attend ALL rehearsals (except if unwell or unexpected conflict), to arrive on time, and to remain for the entire duration of rehearsal. 

●      Please contact your Section Leader prior to rehearsal for absences, arriving late/leaving early, and any questions. Get notes and recordings from a sectionmate if you miss rehearsal.

●      Athenas may miss up to 25% of rehearsals or 3 this season. Four tardies (10 minutes late to your sectional or general rehearsal, whichever is earlier), counts as 1 absence. The last two rehearsals are mandatory and Athenas who miss those rehearsals will not be able to sing in the concert. 

●      Participation in the chorus is dependent on meeting attendance, practice, and fee requirements.

●      All Athenas are required to purchase a concert + reception ticket (including those on leave) or else pay a missed concert fee equivalent to the cost of a concert + reception ticket

●      In line with club policy, any past dues must be paid within 60 days of the charge.

●      Any song folder not returned incurs a $30 replacement fee.

We want to provide a safe environment for all. There is an elevated risk of spreading COVID when we sing together in enclosed spaces.  If you would like an extra layer of protection, consider wearing a mask while singing.  We will continue to provide masks at rehearsals. Per LA County guidelines, the club requires members to provide proof of vaccination.  Please update your vaccination records through the club app or with a greeter as you enter. Please stay home when you are not well.  Contact your section leader if you need to miss.  We value each person, and we respect each person’s personal choices.
